Thomas Dives, age 86 of Malad, died Tuesday 14 Dec 1976) at the Bannock Memorial Hospital of heart failure.

He was born Jan. 26, 1890 at Malad, a son of Veurlam and Annie Evans Dives.

He was married to Ruth Jones July 6, 1914 at Malad. The marriage was solemnized Sept. 27 1922 at the Logan LDS Temple.

He was a businessman and farmer; a member of the first Malad High School graduating class; served eight years on the Malad Stake Sunday School Board, was the last surviving Charter member of the Malad Lions Club, was a member of the Malad Chamber of Commerce; and served on the Oneida County School Board.

He is survived by his widow of Malad; one son and four daughters, Ren Dives, Malad; Mrs. Elden (Alicia) Bingham, Stevensville, Montana; Mrs. Sherman (Margie) Pierce, Aberdeen; Mrs. Phil (IvaLou) Young, Blackfoot; and Mrs. John J. (Verlene) Williams, Hender¬son, Nev.

Funeral Friday

Funeral services will be held Friday noon at the Malad Stake Building with Bishop Gordon Griffiths officiating.

Friends may call at Benson Funeral Home Thursday night and Friday prior to the funeral.

Arrangements are by Benson Funeral Home.
