Nadean Thomas Dives (Birth 31 May 1921/Death 23 Feb 1989)

Nadean Thomas Dives, 67, died Thursday, February 23, (1989) in the Oneida County Hospital.

She was born May 31, 1921 in Malad, to Oliver D. and Lillian Owens Thomas. She was raised and educated in Malad and Salt Lake City.

She married Edwin C. Dives November 18, 1939 in Brigham City, Utah. Shortly after her marriage they moved to Los Angeles. She worked for five years for Sears. She was then employed as secretary for the family business, Precision Die and Mold Company, where she worked for many years. She and her husband returned to Malad in 1985.

She enjoyed oil painting, cooking and spectator sports.

She is survived by her husband of Malad; one son, Ronal C. Dives, Hacienda Heights, California; three grandchildren; one half-brother, Donald Edgington, San Diego, California; three sisters, Mrs. Andy (Lillian) Talbot, Malad; Mrs. Duane (Stella) Metcalf and Mrs. Delores Smith, both of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services were held Saturday in the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home with Ren Dives officiating. Burial was in Malad City Cemetery.
