THOMAS CHARLES POWELL

Thomas Charles Powell, formerly of Cherry Creek, died April 11, 1981 in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was the son of Thomas C. and Catherine Morse Powell, and the grandson of Charles and Lizzie Powell, and Evan and Agnes Morse. He was born Nov. 10, 1915, in Cherry Creek. He graduated from Ogden High School and attended Weber College. He enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard July 10, 1940 and also served five years in the Pacific during the Second World War. He married Dorothy Busse in St. Louis April 14, 1946.

He is survived by his wife and two children: Mrs. Norvalsic Paro and Charles Powell, and three grandchildren, all of St. Louis. Three sisters: Mrs. Robert M. (Beth) Hunter, Bountiful, Utah; Isabell Powell, Blackfoot, Idaho; Mrs. Lee (Katie) Greisch, Riverside, California.

He was a member of the LDS Church. Interment was held April 15, 1981 in St. Louis, Missouri.
