Thelma Fannie Burrows Hawkins, 90, of Malad, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2003 in Malad.

She was born December 20, 1912 in Daniels, near Malad, a daughter of Thomas and Annie Peterson Burrows. Thelma was a graduate of Malad High School and later married J.R. Hawkins on December 31, 1931 in Daniels. They made their home there and farmed and ranched for many years.

Thelma was a school bus driver for the Oneida School District for 40 years, retiring in 1988. She was also employed at the Millstream Grocery store for several years. She enjoyed the outdoors, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, crocheting and being a friend to many. She loved being with her family and spending time at the ranch. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Thelma is survived by three children: Thelma Ann Evans, American Falls; Audrey Patterson and Tom (Shelia) Hawkins, both of Malad; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and two daughters-in-law, Joan Williams, Malad, and Rose Hawkins, American Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Dale and Joe; three brothers, one sister, one granddaughter and one great grandson.
