Teresa Evans

EVANS, TERESA, (?) – June 27, 1974

Oneida County’s second traffic fatality this year occurred at 3:10 Sunday afternoon when a 17 year old Blackfoot girl was killed in a one car accident on Interstate High 15, 6 ½ miles north of Malad.

Dead at the scene was Teresa Evans. She was thrown from a small foreign car as the vehicle rolled over after the driver, Debby Dee Korth, 19, of Provo, UT lost control of the vehicle and it traveled off the left shoulder of the south bound lane.

The driver and three passengers, Gina Thomas, four years old; Darenna Rainston, five, both of Blackfoot, and Trevor Don Korth, 11 months, Provo, were brought to Oneida Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries and held overnight for observation.

The group was enroute to Provo to visit relatives. Ms. Korth was issued a citation for inattentive driving by the investigating officer, Deputy Sheriff Don Stocks.
