FORMER MALAD WOMAN DIES IN OGDEN
Funeral services for Mrs. Sylvia Herbert, 59, who died Wednesday, Dec. 29, at 5 p.m. of a heart attack at her home in Ogden, will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Lindquist Mortuary in Ogden.
Following services there the body will be brought to the home of her father, Barney P. Jones, in Malad where friends may call that evening and until time of services Tuesday. They will be held at 1 p.m. in the Reorganized LDS Church under the direction of Wendell Silvester.
Mrs. Herbert, a daughter of Barney P. and Sarah Cordelia Thomas Jones was born at Malad November 8, 1895.
She was married to H. LaVaun Herbert, September 17, 1917 at Malad.
Survivors include her husband, one son, H.L. Herbert Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. Madonna Wilson, Mrs. Maydell Needham, nine grandchildren, Ogden; her father, Barney P. Jones; One brother, Milton T. Jones, three sisters, Mrs. John Lewis, Miss Evelyn Jones, Malad, and Mrs. Sara Booker, Ogden.
