Sylvera Benjamin John, 23 June 1936

Sylvera Benjamin John, 85, Malad, returned to his heavenly Father on May 10, 2003, due to complications of congestive heart failure.

He was born, the third child of 13, to Noah James and Esther Hall John. He married his first sweetheart, Sara Emma Richards on June 23, 1936 in the Logan LDS Temple. They had three children: Delorise (Kennard) Hales, Tremonton, UT; S. Jay (Christina) John, Carlin, NV; and E. Marie (Kyle) Hughes, Bountiful, UT. His wife Sara passed away on March 14, 1943.

He later married Hilda Schwartz on February 15, 1945. They had one daughter, Sylvera Kay (Dale) Claiborne, Brunswick, GA, who passed away on September 25, 2002.

Sylvera was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in several callings. He lived a full and happy life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, wives, one daughter, one grandson, one granddaughter and one great granddaughter. He is survived by many loving family and friends.

Funeral services were held May 14, 2003 in Malad. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
