Sumatra Jinadasa

JINADASA, SUMATRA, (?), 1966 – March 6, 2004

POCATELLO – Sumatrra Jinadasa, 38, died March 6, 2004. Although her death was unexpected, she had been battling multiple medical conditions for months. Sumatra was born in Los Angeles, California to Wilfred Jinaddasa and Emma Narvaes. She lived in various states and traveled to many countries including Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Salvador and Nicaragua. She was a member of the LDS Church and attended services in Pocatello and Malad.

Sumatra was an active consumer at Consumer Care in Pocatello. She loved going on group outings and participating in crafts. Sumatra always said the people at Consumer Care were her family. She was a sweet, kind and lovable person. She would do anything for a friend.

Sumatra is survived by her friends at Consumer Care; her parents, both in California; a brother Rangeth of California; a sister, Landrany of Washington; and six nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Emma Guerrero and an uncle, Jose Miguel.

A memorial service will be held March 12, 2004 in the Consumer Care building.
