STUART V. TUBBS

Stuart Voss Tubbs, 90, lifetime resident of Holbrook and Malad, passed away on October 3, 2005 at Oneida County Hospital. He was born September 26, 1915 in Holbrook the son of Joel Arvin and Abigail Idumia Tubbs. Stuart attended school in Holbrook through eighth grade and then stayed on the farm to help his Dad. He completed training at a diesel mechanic school in Portland, Oregon.

He married Faye Lowry, September 3, 1939 in Malad. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on November 10, 1961.

Farming was Dad’s life. From the time he was a small boy helping his Dad, to helping his children, and grandchildren learn the ins and outs of farm life., he took pride in how the farm work was done and looked.

Dad enjoyed his neighbors and never missed an opportunity to help them. After retiring from the farm work, he enjoyed traveling and being with his family.

He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was a High Priest at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Faye, his daughters, Beverly (Paul) Howell, Nibley, Utah; Sharon (Sam) Hendericks, Salt Lake City; Joyce (Richy) Mizrahi, Boulder, Colorado, and his son Ron (Teresa), Malad. He has 18 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. His siblings, Audrey Moser and DaMaughn Tubb,s live in Pocatello. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sons, Stuart Dan, and Darrel Voss, and daughter Vicky Louaine Hall.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 7, at 12:00 noon at the Malad Second Ward LDS Chapel, 20 S. 100 W., Malad. Friends may call at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., and on Thursday from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. on Friday.

Family suggest donations be made to the Oneida Senior Citizens’ Center.
