MALAD, Idaho – Stillman Joseph Harris, 76, died Monday morning of natural causes at his home in Cherry Creek.
Mr. Harris was born Dec. 13, 1893, in Woodruff, Idaho, a son of Everett and Margaret Ann John Harris.
He was married to Nora Thomas on Aug. 29, 1917, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died May 4, 1930. He was married to Vonda Dewey Fifield on June 2, 1939, in the Logan LDS Temple.
He was educated in Cherry Creek. He was an active member of the LDS Church and veteran of World War I.
Surviving are his widow, two sons, Jack Harris, Boise; Stanley Harris, Twin Falls, Idaho; one stepson, DeLaun Fifield, Midwest City, Okla.; four daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Theda) Fink, Burley, Idaho; Mrs. Gerald (Helen) Thomas, Malad; Mrs. Dwight (Lola) Stapley, Lancaster, Calif.; Mrs. Gerald (Joyce) Mathisen, Bell Gardens, Calif.; 21 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters, Lorin “Bud” Harris, Whittier, Calif.; Everett Harris, Mrs. John (Stella) Pierce, both of Ogden; Alvin Harris, Mrs. Morgan (Rose) Jones, Mrs. Verl D. (Vera) Jones, all of Malad.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Malad Stake Chapel with Bishop Cordell Williams officiating.
Friends may call at the Benson Funeral Home Wednesday evening and Thursday prior to services. Burial in Malad City Cemetery.
