STELLA McCLURG THOMAS

Stella McClurg Thomas, former Malad resident, passed away April 29, 1987 at Sun Valley, California after a long illness.

She was born September 26, 1893 at Mt. Ayr, Iowa to William McClurg and Lavina Kraus McClurg.

She married Edward Evans Thomas January 3, 1912. He died March 7, 1926. They were the parents of seven children.

Stella worked for many years at the Oneida County Courthouse as treasurer before moving to California.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Merlin (Orthel) Stokes, Mrs. Don (Ochean) Mundell and Mrs. Harold (Mary) Seal, all of California; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sons, Jack, William, Ralph and Dane. Also five brothers, Otto, Ralph, Marion, Walter and William.

Services were held May 4th at the Little Church of the Flowers. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Glendale, California.
