Malad-Shirlie Tueller[ Perkins, 63, Malad, died early Sunday of sudden heart failure.

She was born April 5, 1922, in Logan, Utah, to Benjamin Gottlieb and Floss Smith Tueller. She grew up and was educated in Smithfield, Utah and was a graduate of North Cache High School.

She married Daniel Wilcox Perkins July 31, 1940, in the Logan LDS Temple. After their marriage, they lived in Smithfield for 18 years and moved to Preston in 1958. In 1963, they moved to Malad where she was residing at the time of her death.

During her married life, she had worked for several different businesses. While in Malad, she worked for Miller’s Jewelers and Hendricks’ Department Store.

She was a member of the LDS church and served as Primary teacher, Primary president, stake and ward leader, in YWMIA, and as drama director, librarian and visiting teacher.

She is survived by her husband of Malad; four sons, James B. Perkins, Salt Lake City; Tom D. Perkins, Vancouver, Washington; Dr. Brett W. Perkins, Spangdahlm, Germany; Tony Perkins, Malad; five daughters, Mrs. Don (Dana Lee) Mikesell, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lorenzo (Sherlauna) Griffeth, Preston; Mrs. Monte (Monique) Price, Malad; Mrs. Deren Boman, Hailey; Mrs. Brendt Bennett, Logan, Utah; one brother, Myrlyn Williamson; one sister, Merry Carole Pitt; 34 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Georgene Perkins.

Funeral services will be Thursday at noon in the Malad LDS Fourth Ward chapel with Bishop Clarence Kent officiating. Friends may call at the Benson Horsley Funeral Home in Malad Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday prior to services. Burial will be in the Smithfield City Cemetery in Utah.
