She graduated from Nampa high school in 1958 and was a Homecoming Queen Attendant. After high school JoAnne attended Brigham Young University on a music scholarship. In 1957 JoAnne was the runner up in the Miss Nampa pageant. She was a flight attendant for United Airlines prior to pursuing a career in fashion – which was a passion of hers. That career resulted in her being a model as well as a buyer for different companies in San Francisco, Boise, and Salt Lake from 1962 until 1987.

JoAnne’s outgoing, fun, and infectious personality – as well as her striking blue eyes and infectious laugh – helped her light up any room she walked into. She made everybody she met feel so special and nobody was a stranger. JoAnne was incredibly full of life and will be missed by all who knew her.

JoAnne was sealed to her first husband, Gerald Leland “Jerry” McClure in the Salt Lake temple April 16, 1962. Together they had three daughters, Shannon Lynne, Melinda Lea “Mindy,” and Elizabeth Anne “Libbie.” After Jerry’s passing, JoAnne and her daughters moved to Provo, Utah. It was in Utah where JoAnne met her second husband, Bobby Dean “Bob” Blackley. The two were married November 7, 1978. They had two daughters, Roberta LaRue and Misty JoAnne, as well as a son, Beau Dean. While living in Utah JoAnne was a successful real estate agent for many years at different brokerages and was a member of the Realtor Association’s Million Dollar Club.

JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, and her daughters, Roberta LaRue and Misty JoAnne. She is survived by her brother, Joe Warren Neff, his wife Karen Russon Neff, and their children Shaun Michael, Jennifer Neff Pinegar, Christopher Warren, and Trevor Joseph, all of whom were dear to JoAnne and brought her much joy and support. JoAnne is also survived by her daughter Shannon; daughter Mindy and her son Merrick Gerald; daughter Libbie, Libbie’s husband Mike O’Neal, their son Gerald Brooks O’Neal; her son Beau, his fiancée Jennie Catherine Wingad, and their daughter Grace Catherine Blackley. JoAnne loved her family very much, and her grandchildren were the light of her life.
