Shirl M. Williams, age 88, of Malad, Idaho, formerly of Upalco, passed away December 18, 2010 at the VA Medical center.
He was born august 19, 1922 in Upalco, to Samuel and Agnes Murphy Williams.
He served in the Army during World War 11 where he was wounded and spent most of his time in hospitals. He was a certified welder, rancher, and loved horses. The last thirty years he resided in Malad, Idaho.
Dad, you were deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Shirl is survived by his three children: Janice (Dale) Gowen, Vernal; Becky Williams, Layton; (Nickie) Williams, Ogden; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Mecham, Zola (Glendon) Hamberg, Vernal and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, sister, Rae, great-grandparents, and brother-in-law, Floyd Mecham
Graveside services were held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the Upalco Cemetery under direction of the Hullinger Mortuary.
