On Thursday, July 29, 2010, our loving little mother, Ruth Eileen Williams, surrounded by her loving family, passed away at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah after a long illness.
Eileen was born in Malad, Idaho on September 2, 1944 to Hubert Merlin Robbins and Ruth Victoria Anderson Robbins. She was one of fourteen children in Stone, Idaho. She was married to Farrel D. Williams on August 25, 1961. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Utah temple. They made their home in many places but settled eventually west of Malad in the St. John area. There they raised three sons and two daughters but she was known as mom to many others. Their door was always open and no one left hungry.
Eileen loved her garden and watching the birds while working in her yard, but her greatest joy was found when she was with her family. She was very proud of her grandchildren and spends countless hours with them. She also loved the getaways with her sisters and playing pinochle.
Eileen was known for being hard working and proud. She worked many jobs, including cooking at the Oneida County Hospital and working for over 20 years at La-Z-Boy in Tremonton.
Eileen was loved by all and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband, Farrel and five children: DeRay (Lynn) Williams; Devon (Carol) Williams; Tresa (Scott) Murray; Jody Williams and Erica (Justin) Giles; twenty three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by ten brothers and sisters: Hazel (Glenn) Jones; Helen Stratton; David Robbins; Dick (sue Ann) Robbins; Dale Robbins; Milton (Melanie) Robbins; Vicky Robbins; Rex (Sarah) Robbins; Alvin (Jane) Robbins, Mary Ann (David) Reel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Thomas and John Robbins, a sister, Marion Grover and a grandson, Luke Farrel Murray.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the ICU team of McKay Dee Hospital for their loving, respectful care of our ill mother and also to her Army!
