Sherrie Lynn Wilde Kent, age 48, Idaho Falls, died October 24, 1994 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of a sudden illness.

She was born May 21, 1946, at Idaho Falls, the daughter of Boyd P. Wilde and LaFern Rowberry Wilde. She grew up in Idaho Falls and attended schools here graduating from Idaho Falls High School in 1964. She then went on to Brigham Young University, where she majored in Genealogy.

She married LaRall Dawn Kent July 14, 1967, at Idaho Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple July 13, 1972. They moved to Jackson, Wyoming in 1970, then to Preston in 1984, then settling in Idaho Falls in 1986. She had worked as a Bank Teller at First Security Bank, telephone operator, manager of the May Company clothing store in Jackson, office manager of Fackrell Construction Company while they lived in Preston, and corporate office of Natural Energy Systems in Idaho Falls.

An active member of the LDS Church, she had served as Primary president, Young Women president, Young Women Stake leader, Sunday School teacher, Primary teacher, Relief Society secretary, and Ward bulletin editor. She loved genealogy, arts and crafts and snow machines. She loved her 1934 Roadster.

Surviving are: Her husband, LaRall Dawn Kent, of Idaho Falls; 3 daughters, Mrs. Daren “Ylona” Henderson, Mrs. Jason “Cherene” Laird, and Rebecca L. Kent, all of Idaho Falls. Her parents, Boyd P. and LaFern Wilde of Jackson, Wyoming, 3 brothers, Dennis Boyd Wilde, Larry Thomas Wilde, of Jackson, Wyoming and Michael D. Wilde of Ogden, Utah. Two sisters, Leslie K. Lindquist, Jackson, Wyoming and Corrine Dahlstron, Eagle River, Arkansas; and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Trevor LaRall Kent, in 1975.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 29, 1994 at the Ammon LDS 5th Ward Chapel. Graveside services were held at the Aspen Hill Cemetery at Jackson, Wyoming.
