Scott William Hiatt, 18 June 1982

Scott William Hiatt, 21, of Greensboro, NC passed away suddenly on November 14, 2003 in Greensboro.

Scott was born June 18, 1982 in Greensboro, NC to Keith and Becky Crowther Hiatt. He was an Eagle Scout and served in the California, San Fernando Mission.

Scott has been a constant example of kindness and compassion and took great joy in his family, friends and pets. He was a natural athlete, honest in all his dealings and took great pride in his appearance and responsibilities. He had an infectious laugh and showed much courage through the challenges of his life.

Maybe Scott’s greatest attribute was an enduring testimony that Jesus Christ is our Savior, the he knew the resurrection to be a reality and that families can be forever.

He is survived by his parents, Keith and Becky Crowther Hiatt of Greensboro, NC; his brother Craig Hiatt of Provo, UT; his sisters Jill Hiatt of Provo, UT; and Kate Hiatt of Greensboro, NC; his maternal grandmother, Betty Crowther of Malad; and his paternal grandparents John D. and Mary S. Hiatt in Winston-Salem, NC. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous family and friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gordon Crowther, an uncle and three cousins.

Funeral services were held November 17, 2003 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints church house in Greensboro. Interment was in the Westminster Gardens, also in Greensboro.
