FUNERAL WEDNESDAY FOR MRS. THOMAS

Mrs. Sarah Jane Williams Thomas, 82, died January 9, 1954 at Malad of causes incident to age.

Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas were conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Malad First ward chapel with Bishop D. Dredge Thomas in charge.

Speakers were W.W. Thomas, who also gave the obituary, Thos. W. Richards, Bishop D. Dredge Thomas. Prayer at the home was offered by Jacob Kern; invocation, Junius L. Crowther; benediction, James G. Vaughan; dedicatory prayer, Henry E. Thomas. Musical numbers consisted of prelude and postlude music, May Williams; vocal solo, Keith Evans; vocal solo, Helen Edwards Jones. A memoriam from the War Mothers was given by Mrs. Laura Jones.

Mrs. Thomas was born at Samaria, Idaho, August 23, 1871. She was married to William Henry Thomas at Malad, Oct. 5, 1892 and the couple had made their home in Malad their entire lives. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the LDS church and was a charter member of the Malad Royal Neighbors lodge.

Surviving are her husband, Malad; one daughter, Mrs. N.M. (Bertha) Colley, South Gate, CA; three sons, Russell Thomas, Los Angeles, CA; Samuel D. Thomas, Malad; Arnold Thomas, Downey, CA; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Virgin (Jessie) Thomas, Malad; a son-in-law, Emery Pinson, Denver, CO; the following brothers and sisters: Johnny Williams, Roy, UT; Brig Williams, Tremonton, UT; Mrs. Ed (Hannah) Snider, Pocatello; Ezeriah Williams, Pocatello; Annie Huntsman, Farmington, UT; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
