FORMER MALAD RESIDENT DIES AT POCATELLO

A native of Malad, Sarah Jane Lewis Thomas, 87, Pocatello, died Nov. 21, 1975 and the services were held Wednesday at the LDS 5th Ward Chapel in Pocatello.

Mrs. Thomas was born at Malad July 28, 1888, a daughter of Nephi and Sarah Jane Williams Lewis. On Dec. 25, 1906, she married Joseph T. Thomas at Malad and two years later they moved to Arbon Valley where they homesteaded a farm and operated a general store. The family moved to Pocatello in 1923. Mr. Thomas died May 14, 1952.

Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Orval (Delora) Davis and Mrs. Wilford (Laura) Curzon, both of Pocatello, and Mrs. Joe (Edith) Howard, Rexburg; four grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter and a sister, Mrs. Dwight (Vilet) Zundel, Pocatello.
