FUNERAL FOR MRS. SARAH ANN THOMAS
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the First Ward for Mrs. Sarah Ann Thomas, 71, who died May 4, 1947 after about a six months illness.
Mrs. Thomas was born December 4, 1875 at Malad, Idaho, the daughter of Elizabeth Morgan and William T. Griffiths. She was married to George Sperry Thomas in 1896.
Bishop Junius Crowther presided and gave the biography. Mrs. Emma Ward played the prelude and postlude and accompanied the musical numbers which consisted of a violin solo, Fern Willie; vocal solo, Stillman Harris and Margaret E. Jones. Prayer was offered at the home by H.E. Thomas and the invocation and benediction by H.I. Mills and I.D. Zundell. The speakers were W.H. Rutter and H.E. Thomas. S.L. Smith dedicated the grave.

Johnson, Fielding; Mrs. Irvil Boothe, Brigham, Mrs. Effie Deekin, Los Angeles; Mr. and Mrs Darrell Griffiths, Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Thomas, Pocatello; Mrs. Stanley Reese, Logan; Mrs. Gale Lowe, Grace; Mrs. Alice Thomas and Miss Lizzie Thomas, Salt Lake City.
She ws the mother of seven children, three of whom survive, Steve Thomas, Bessie Johnson and George Thomas and the step mother to Walter Thomas, Pocatello; Horatio Thomas, Montpelier; Hugh Thomas, California and Mrs. Will Stuart, Malad. She has one grandchild, Jarvis Johnson, Jr. and the following brothers and sisters: Gwillyn, Hugh, Thos. Griffiths, Amelia Waldron and Hannah Waldron.
