Ruth W. Pullum passed away June 26, 2010 peacefully at her home.
She was born in Samaria, ID to Leslie Willie and Eunice Hughes Willie. Ruth was raised and attended school in Malad, ID.
She married Pete Peterson, they were later divorced; Loyal Pullum, they were later divorced; and then Hank Zwart, also later divorced.
Ruth retired from Ogden City Schools lunch program after 20 years of work. She loved being involved with the racing of their pigeons. She was an avid Utah Jazz fan.
Her last 34 years were spent with her life partner, Hendrik (Hank) Zwart. The last year of her life she and Hank spent in Yuma, AZ., they enjoyed great happiness. As a family we want to thank Hank for his unfailing love and care for our mother.
Ruth is survived by her life partner, Hank, four daughters: Pam (Gary) Waldron, SLC; Kitty Call, S. Ogden; Penny (Fred) Coltran, West Haven; Tina (Robert) Hummel, Farr West; one brother; Leslie Kay Willie, ID and two sisters: Kathleen Jones, Brigham City, Roberta (Marion) Price, Malad, ID., thirteen grandchildren, thirty one great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant sons, two brothers, Dave and William and one sister, Betty Tolbat.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2010, at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
A special thank you to all the Applegate Hospice professionals for making Ruth’s last few days more comfortable. And a very special thank you to Willy.
She will be greatly missed by all.
