Russel O. Daniels (Birth 7 Apr 1899/Death 10 Sep 1990)

Russel O. Daniels, 91, of Malad, passed away September 10, 1990, in the Oneida County Hospital. He was born April 7, 1899, in Malad, the son of Daniel M. and Catherine Owens Daniels.
He grew up and was educated in Malad. He married Annie LaRue Jorgensen in Ogden, Utah, May 25, 1925. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple two years later. She died June 2, 1988.
Russel farmed and ranched his entire life in the Daniels area.
He was active in the LDS Church. He served in the Daniels Ward Bishopric and other church callings.
He was active in civic affairs where he served on the Malad City Council.
He was the last State Senator from Oneida County, serving in that position for four years.
He also served as President of the St. John Forest Cattle Association.
He is survived by two sons, Dale R. Daniels and Joseph J. Daniels, of Malad; and one daughter, Mrs. William W. (Helen) Price also of Malad; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lona Bush, Boise, Idaho; Lena Hone, Ogden, Utah; and Pearl Thomas, Downey, California.
Funeral Services will be held Friday at 12:00 Noon in the Malad LDS 3rd Ward Chapel. Friends may call Thursday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Friday prior to services at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
