Ronald Bruce Walker was born 10 April, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ronald F. And Dorothy Tennant Walker, passed away August 9, 2010.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Carole Bennett Walker, five children: Timothy B. (Sherryl) Walker; Karl F. (Anne) Walker; Ronald C. (Pethel) Walker; Cynthia L. (Benjamin) Browning; Heidi J. (Mark) Despain and 14 grandchildren. Bruce was preceded in death by both parents.
Bruce married Carole Bennett in the Salt Lake Temple June 2, 1 969. He was an active member of the Kaysville 9th Ward, and held many positions throughout his membership in the Church; scouting for 20 years in which he received both the District Award of Merit and the Silver Bearer; Emergency Preparedness; Ward Mission Leader; Member of a branch Presidency; Executive Secretary; member of Salt Lake County and David County Emergency Services Ham Radio Clubs.
He worked for the U.S. Forest Service for 11 years and was a metalizing equipment operator at Hill Air Force Base for 30 years. His greatest enjoyments inlife were spending time, and being with his grandkids and the great outdoors.
Viewings will be Thursday Aug. 12 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 13 from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 13, 2010 starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Kaysville East Stake Center, 201 S. 600 E. Kaysville, Utah. Interment Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, 3115 east 800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
