FISHER, ROGER, July 25, 1928 – March 6, 1972

Dr. Roger Fisher, Laramie, died March 6, 1972. Dr. Fisher was married to the former Laura Harrison of Malad, a daughter of Mrs. Laura Harrison Williams, Raymond ID, and the late Parry Harrison.

Dr. Fisher was associate professor at University of Wyoming where his work included largely audio-visual classes and activities. In 1966 he had been made media director for Western States Project and attended conferences in many areas. He was a graduate of Uintah High School, Vernal, UT, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, received a master of education degree at Brigham young University and a doctorate degree there in 1965. He taught elementary and high school, was a ranger-naturalist at North Rim, Grand Canyon and served a two year tour of duty with the U.S. Army. Dr. Fisher did post doctoral study at the University of Southern Illinois, Carbondale.

He was an active member of the LDS Church and held many offices and was teaching at the LDS Institute of Religion.

Dr. Fisher was born July 25, 1928 at Bountiful, UT, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Byron P. Fisher. He married Laura Harrison in the Logan LDS Temple on December 19, 1955.

Surviving are his wife and four children; parents, five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at Laramie and interment was in Greenhill Cemetery.
