ROBERT LYLE RICHARDS

Robert Richards dies, services here Thurs.

Robert Lyle Richards, age 75 of Ogden, died Monday, Sept. 26 [1977] in an Ogden nursing home of natural causes.

He was born Jan. 24, 1902 in Malad, a son of Parley Morgan and Martha Alice Williams Richards, Sr.

On June 12, 1923 he married Margaret Chaffin; they were divorced Oct. 8, 1948.

He then married Ethyl Willora Greer Richards on Dec. 25, 1948 in Ogden. She died Sept. 6, 1973.

He had been a construction worker for 20 years, with the Gibbons and Reed Construction Co.; and was a member of the Hod Carriers and Laborers Union No. 295. He had lived in Malad, Helena, Mont. and Ogden; was educated in Malad and served as a high priest in the Ogden LDS 52nd Ward.

Surviving are two step sons and three step-daughters; Griff G. Richards, San Francisco; David G. Richards, Post Falls; Mrs. Lynal (Ethel) Rosenberg, Ogden; Mrs. Max (Parla) Montgomery, Friday Harbour, Wash.; Mrs. Dennis (Beverly) Staley, Roy. Also surviving are 21 step-grandchildren, 13 step great-grandchildren; three brothers: Thomas Richards, Bremerton, Wash.; Frank S. Richards, Oregon; Reed R. Richards, Couer d’ Alene.

Services Here Thursday

Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel, Ogden. Friends and relatives may call Wednesday at the mortuary from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday prior to services.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Malad City Cemetery.
