FUNERAL MONDAY FOR RICHARD L. THOMAS

Funeral services were held Monday for Richard Lynn Thomas, two year old son of Robert Grant and Karoline Thomas in the Malad Third LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Hubert Gleed officiating.

A. LaVen Williams offered the family prayer and Henry Gleed gave the invocation and E.N. Crowther gave the benediction. Margaret Laws played the prelude and postlude music and vocal solos were presented by Diane Hartley, Blair Gleed and Judy Jones. Grant Cornelius gave the obituary and remarks and Bishop Joe Beard was the speaker. Bishop Hubert Gleed gave the dedicatory prayer.

Casket bearers were Carol D. Jones, Edward Davis, Bill Waldron and Monte Thomas. Third Ward Relief Society was in charge of the flowers.

Richard Lynn (Ricky) Thomas was born April 26, 1954 at Salmon. He died enroute to Moscow when his father attempted to catch the child as he applied the brakes on Lewiston Hill. Instead, his hand struck the boy, apparently on the brain stem.

Survivors include his parents, three brothers: Robert Dale, James Grant and Jeffery Lyle Thomas, all of Eden; grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Herman J. Schiewe, Buhl, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Thomas, Malad.

Those attending from out of town included: Mrs. Lorraine Starkey and sons, Gregg, Jedd and Blake, of Salem, OR; Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Thomas and girls, Mrs. Margaret Thomas, Mrs. Mary Lou Thompson, Tremonton.
