Richard LaVell Neal, 78, died Thursday, June 13, 1991, at the Logan Regional Hospital.
He was born December 31, 1913 in Stone, Idaho, a son of William Job and Maria Bradshaw Neal.
He married Evelyn Fergess, June 5, 1921 in Brigham City, Utah. This marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She died December 19, 1973. He then married Julia McKinnon on August 7, 1979 in the Manti LDS Temple.
He was born and raised in Stone, Idaho. He was a prominent cattle rancher and owned and operated his cattle ranch in Stone, Idaho.
He loved the outdoors, his horses and cattle, and enjoyed rodeos and fishing.
He was a high priest in the LDS Church and had served as a home teacher for many years.
He is survived by his wife Julia, and four daughters, Louise and Kay Harris, Stone, Idaho; Mardena and Dallas Connel, Kent, Washington; Shirley and Ronald Shelley, Mt.P leasant, Utah; Donette, Tacoma, Washington; three stepsons, Mikal A. McKinnon, Richland, Washington; Kim W. McKinnon, Riverton, Wyoming; Todd S. McKinnon, Kaysville, Utah; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren 12 step-grandchildren; one brother, George Neal, Stone, Idaho; sister, Memmina Scott, Stone, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Grant, Jess and Rulon.
Funeral services were held on Monday, June 17 at 12:00 in the Curley LDS Ward Chapel in Snowville, with Bishop Michael Morgan officiating. Burial was in the Snowville Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Rogers and Taylor Mortuary.
