Mr. Evans was born October 25, 1887 at Malad, a son of Richard M. and Alice Evans Evans.

He received his education in Malad and was married to Ethel L. Thomas on September 12, 1912 at Malad. He was a member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include his widow, Malad; one son and four daughters, E. Dean Evans, Idaho Falls; Mrs. Richard (Peggy) Jones, Pocatello; Mrs. Lynn (Carol) gilgen, Malad; Mrs. Robert D. (Nadine) Day, both of Lancaster, CA; 17 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Maude Anderson, Malad.
