Albert Rex Jensen, 86, of Malad, passed away Monday, March 10, 1997 in the Oneida County Nursing Home.
He was born September 6, 1910 in Malad, a son of James Peter and Laura Baker Jensen.
On December 22, 1933 he married Thora Blaisdell in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple.
Rex had owned and operated a farm in New Canyon for many years. He was an active member of the LDS Church, where he served in many capacities in the Reynolds branch, as well as in the first and third wards.
He is survived by his wife, Thora, of Malad; two sons, Sheldon R. (Yvonne) Jensen of Malad, and J. Terral (Dorothy) Jensen of Weiser, Idaho; three daughters and spouses, Jeannine (Deverl) Mills of Sacramento, Califrnia; Kathy (Jack) Mathis of Brigham City, Utah; and Diane (Ron) Sines of Springville, Utah; 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, LaRue Savage of Idaho Falls, and Eileen (Roy) Jensen of Ucon. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 14, 1997, at noon in the Malad LDS Third Ward Chapel, Bishop Brad Thorpe officiating. Friends may call at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad, on Thursday, March 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday at the funeral home, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
