JULIA THORA BLAISDELL JENSEN

Julia Thora Blaisdell Jensen, 93, of Malad, Passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2005, at her home.

She was born July 23, 1912, in Centerville, Utah, a daughter of John Edward and Florence Barber Blaisdell.

On December 22, 1932, she married Albert Rex Jensen in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. Mr. Jensen passed away March 10, 1997.

She worked for many years with her husband operating a farm in New Canyon.

Thora was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many capacities through the years. She especially loved doing family history research and was considered the family historian.

She is survived by two sons: Sheldon R. (Yvonne) Jensen of Malad, and J. Terral (Dorothy) Jensen of Weiser; three daughters: Jeannine (DeVerl, deceased) Mills of Sacramento, California, Kathy (Jack) Mathis of Brigham City, Utah, and Diane (Ron) Sines of Springville, Utah; three sisters; Lorraine Dives, Alice Edwards and Helen Alvarez; three brothers: Dale Blaisdell, Theron Blaisdell and Reed Blaisdell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two great-granddaughters and one son-in-law.

Funeral services were held Monday, August 22, in the Malad LDS Third Ward chapel. Burial followed in the Malad City Cemetery.
