REVA HUGHES PITZER

Reva H. Pitzer died Aug. 9, funeral Wed

Mrs. Reva Hughes Pitzer, age 62, of Malad, passed away Aug. 9, in the Oneida County Nursing Home of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 14, 1914 in Malad to Gomer and Mary Edith Bolingbroke Hughes. She married Robert M. Pitzer Sept. 25, 1945 in Malad.

Mrs. Pitzer had worked at Hill Field Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah for a short time, and had lived in Wyoming and Ohio, spending the last few years in Malad. She was a member of the LDS church.

Survivors include one brother: Ellis Hughes, Magna, Ut.[UT.]; three sisters: Mrs. Andrew (Edith) Atkinson of Samaria; Mrs. Jay (Mary) Hess, Plymouth, Ut.[UT.], and Mrs. Ernest (Phyllis) Filion, Magna, Ut.[UT.]

FUNERAL SERVICE

Funeral services for Mrs. Pitzer were held Wednesday, August 11, at Benson Funeral Home with Bishop Myron Jones officiating.

Family prayer was given by Ben W. Call. Invocation was delivered by William Atkinson and Foster Ipsen presented a vocal, “Beyond The Sunset.”

The obituary was given by Norma South and Bishop Jones gave his remarks which were followed with a vocal by Carol Daniels.

Benediction was by George Ward.

Prelude and postlude music was provided by Iris Blaisdell.

At the graveside, Gomer Ellis Hughes gave the dedicatory prayer.

The First Ward Relief Society was in charge of the floral tributes.

Casket Bearers included: Robert Dorius, Marlo Atkinson, Lowell H. Hess, Kenneth Lamb, Jerry Udy and Ben H. Call.
