Retta Mae McCulloch Burrie

Retta Mae McCulloch Burrie, 93, of Malad, died Sunday, July 12, 1992, in the Oneida County Hospital.
She was born January 30, 1899, in Logan, Utah, a daughter of Robert and Hannah Colville McCulloch. She was raised and educated in Logan, and married George H. Burrie March 12, 1919, in Logan, Utah. After her marriage, they moved to the Daniels area, where they home-steaded a farm. Mrs. Burrie had been the last surviving homesteader in the Daniels area.
They had moved to Malad in 1947, and had continued operating the farm until her husband’s death April 1, 1968.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she had been active in Relief Society. She had enjoyed crocheting and fishing.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Viva Burrie of Malad; one daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Don A. (Donna) Carlson, Ogden, Utah; six grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday at noon in the Malad LDS First Ward Chapel. Burial was (missing info)
