ODGEN-Rebecca Ann Weaver Vargas, 27 died Wednesday, December 27, 1995 in Ogden.

She was born November 13, 1968 in Salt Lake City, daughter of Ronald Edward and Sonja Rees Weaver.

Rebecca attended school in Brigham City at Lincoln Elementary, Box Elder Jr. High and Box Elder High School.

She married Stephen Vargas. They renewed their vows on January 2, 1994 at the St. Joseph’s Church in Odgen.

She loved playing bingo, golf, softball and had played several co-ed teams, bowling and trips to Wendover.

She is survived by her husband and two daughters; Madeline and Stevie, whom she loved with all her heart. Her mother, Sonja (Marlin) Sanders of Roy; sisters, Ronda (Earl) Bryner, Roy; Raelyn Weaver, Roy; Renae (Dale) Arave, Roy; nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her grandparents; Phil and Theone Rees, West Valley City; and Ed and Nancy Weaver of Lavonia, Georgia; aunts, uncles and cousins in Salt Lake Valley.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Edward Weaver; a grandmother, Helen Porter; uncles, Frank Porter, and Tom Rees; and a cousin, Julie Rees.

In lieu of flowers an account has been set up at First Security bank, 27th/Washington in the name of Becky Vargas’ children.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 2, 1:30 p.m. At Levitt’s Chapel of Flowers, 836 36th Street. Friends may call at the mortuary Monday from 6-8 p.m. And Tuesday one hour prior to services.

Interment, Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park.
