Washington Terrace, Ut- Our beloved mother Irene Louise Cheesman Daniels Vaughn, 82, died Sunday, January 15, at her home.

She was born in Provo, Utah, on May 10, 1912, to George and Emma J. Bensen Cheeseman. She was raised in Arborn Valley by her Mother and stepfather, Theodore Daniels.

She married David W. Vaughan on June 9, 1931 in Malad. They lived in Malad until 1944, at which time, they moved to Odgen, Utah area.

As a young woman, she worked for her father, Theo Daniels, driving a truck for the family farm and grocery. She also cared for handicapped children and preformed a variety of jobs before going to work for the Federal Government. She retired from Odgen’s Defense Depot in October of 1977.

She was a life-long, devoted member of the Reorganized Church of the latter Day Saints, and was proud of her service as Women’s Leader in the Odgen branch.

Surviving one son, David Wayne (Lenore) Vaughan, South Odgen; two daughters, Lorriane Barry, Odgen; Laurilee (Ronald) Bork, Salt lake City; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 11;00 a.m. At the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day saints, with District President David Nipper, officiating. Interment was in the Malad City Cemetery.
