RAY H. UDY

PLYMOUTH – Ray H. Udy, 72, of Plymouth, died Monday, May 29, 2000, at his residence. He was born August 21, 1927 in Plymouth, the son of Gardner and Jane Hess Udy.
He married Ellerene Atkinson on December 12, 1947, in Logan LDS Temple.
Ray had lived in Plymouth his entire life. He received his education in Plymouth and at Bear River High School in Tremonton. He and Ellerene spent their winters in Quartzsite, AZ.
He was a veteran of World War II where he served with the Air Corp. He helped with the Plymouth Cemetery, the Plymouth Rodeo, and enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
He was a High Priest in the Belmont 1st Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a Home Teacher and had served in the Sunday School.
He is survived by his wife; children, Susan (Craig) Barnes, Boise, ID; Paul A. (Pauline) Udy, Trenton, UT; Jerry A. (Lisa) Udy, Smithfield, UT; Ella Rae (Steve) Hawkes, Tremonton, UT; 17 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis H. (Margaret) Udy and Bryce H. (LaRita) Udy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Lynn Ray; grandson James Ray Udy; his sister Phyllis Kunzler; his brother O’Dell Udy.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 3, 2000, 12:00 noon, at the Belmont LDS Ward Chapel, 16925 North 5200 West, Riverside, UT with Bishop Martell Menlove officiating. Friends may call Fri. June 2nd from 6-8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, and Sat. June 3rd from 10:15-11:45 a.m. at the Church.
Interment in the Plymouth Cemetery.
