Parley Deschamps (Birth 8 Aug 1906/Death 29 Jul 1985)

Parley Deschamps, 78, life time resident of St. John died Monday, July 29, 1985 in the McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah.

He was born August 8, 1906 in Malad, Idaho to David S. Sr. and Blanche Davis Deschamps.

He grew up in St. John where he attended school. He later attended Malad High School.

On April 3, 1926 he married Luceal Hall in Brigham City, Utah. He had ranched his entire adult life in St. John and the Malad Valley. He was a member of the LDS Church and belonged to the Malad Flyers Club, the Faternal (Fraternal) Order of Eagles and Malad Rod and Gun Club.

He was an avid fisherman and had also enjoyed hunting.

He is survived by his wife of St. John; two sons Monte Deschamps, Kelso, Washington and Dr. J. D. Deschamps, St. Helens, Oregon; three brothers Louis and David, both of St. John and Ray, Tuscon, Arizona; three sisters Mrs. Morgan (Mary) Harris, Woodruff, Idaho; Mrs. Shelba Dredge, Malad, Idaho and Mrs. George (Blanche) Weston, LaFayette, California; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home in Malad with Bishop Jerry Bush officiating.

Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
