Ovelear Bowcutt Waldron, 74, of Malad, died Sunday, October 2, 1994 in the Oneida County Hospital. She was born July 28, 1920 in Malad, a daughter of Fredrick James and Sarah Pearl Richards Bowcutt. She grew up and was educated in Malad and was a graduate of Malad High School.

On June 8, 1838, she was married to Glispy Thomas “Bud” Waldron in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Waldron passed away June 22, 1984.

Mrs. Waldron had been a homemaker and had also worked many years for Evans Coop Department Store in Malad, retiring in 1984. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidery work and had donated many items to the hospital’s Pink Ladies organization. She was a member of the LDS Church and had served in Relief Society and Primary as well as on the Stake Primary Board.

She is survived by one son and his wife: Fredrick “Fred” and Cindy Waldron of West Jordan, Utah; three daughters and spouses: Wilma “B” and Richard Riddle of Salem, Utah; Lael Dawn and Robert Christophersen of Malad; Sara Deidra (and the late Tom) McKinney of Pocatello; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Lael Hoskins.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 5 in the Malad LDS Third Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.

Overlear Bowcutt Waldron, 74, of Malad, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 1994, in the Oneida County Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 5, at noon in the Malad LDS Third Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home in Malad on Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. A complete obituary will appear in Tuesday’s Idaho State Journal.
