OREN SLUDER

Oren Vincen Sluder, 60, 555½ Willard, died Sunday in Virginia City, Mont.

He was born Nov. 1, 1925 in Malad, to Joseph Oren and Emily Estella Ditmore Sluder. During World War II, he served with the Navy.

He married Mary Roper and they later divorced.

On Oct. 3, 1952 he married Lorene Anderson at Elko, Nev., and this marriage ended in divorce.

He lived at American Falls, prior to moving to Pocatello in 1963. He was maintence planning and scheduling coordinator for FMC Corp. until his retirement on Jan. 1, 1983.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing.

Survivors include two daughters, Doty Rowley, Pocatello; Debbie Sluder, Deer Lodge, Mont.; four sisters, Edna Rock, Lewisville, Freda Robinson, Pocatello; Dorothy Rose, Sumpter, Ore.; Marguarite(sic) Hunter, Nampa; and a granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lois Rowe.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Manning Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 until 8 p.m. and Friday from noon until service time at Manning Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Malad Cemetery at 3 p.m. with military graveside rites by the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

SLUDER–Funeral services for Oren V. Sluder, 60, 555 Willard, who died Sunday in Virginia City, Mont., will be 1 p.m. Friday at Manning Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be in Malad Cemetery at 3 p.m. with military rites by the American Legion, Ernest W. Jones Post No. 65, with Reed Facer, commander. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 until 8 p.m. and Friday from noon until service time at Manning Funeral Chapel.
