EVANS, OPHELIA CASS UHLIR

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the Malad Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bruce Crawford conducting. Mrs. Evans died June 12, 1957 at a Salt Lake City hospital of pneumonia and other complications following surgery.

Friends may call at the Isaac Evans’ home, South Main, Friday evening and Saturday until time of the services. Interment will be in the Malad Cemetery under the direction of the Benson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Evans was born October 29, 1901 in Nebraska, where she was reared and educated. She was a graduate of the University of Nebraska and married James W. J. Evans at Almagordo, New Mexico. They have made their home in Malad since 1943.

Mrs. Evans was a member of the Malad Presbyterian Church, Ladies’ Aid, Eastern Star and Woodmen of the World.

She is survived by her husband, Malad; a brother, Richard Uhlir, Norfolk Nebraska; a sister, Martha Uhlir, San Francisco, CA.
