Olive Irene Hartley Fredrickson

FREDRICKSON, OLIVE IRENE, October 19, 1902 – January 14, 1989

Olive Irene Hartley Fredrickson, 86, of Malad, died January 14, 1989 in Salt Lake City. She was born October 19, 1902 in Rockland to Charles Richard and Sarriah Cooper Hartley.

She lived in Rockland and later moved to Malad, where she graduated from high school.

She married Dewey Fredrickson July 23, 1923 in American Falls. He died August 17, 1976.

She had lived most of her life in Malad, where she and her husband owned and operated a farm. She was a member of the LDS Church and had served in several positions. In her later years, she enjoyed being an organist.

She also enjoyed flowers, music and her membership in the Malad Fine Arts Club. She had also been a member of the American Legion War Mothers.

She is survived by two sons, Hartley and Gordon, one daughter, Kathleen Fredrickson, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by one infant son.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Malad LDS Fourth Ward with Bishop Brent Evanson officiating. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
