Oleah Moss Sypher Cherry (Birth 19 Oct 1898/Death 4 Jun 1987)

Oleah Moss Sypher Cherry, 88, formerly of 940 24th, died Thursday, June 4, 1987, in an Ogden nursing home of causes incident to age.

She was born Oct. 19, 1898, in Woodruff, Idaho, a daughter of Robert John and Elizabeth Green Moss.

On Nov. 12, 1919, she married Clinton J. Sypher in Ogden. They were later divorced.

In 1954 she married Charles M. Cherry in Las Vegas, Nev. He died in 1977.

She attended schools in Idaho and had lived in Idaho until moving to Utah in 1921.

She was a member of the LDS Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jacob (Zola) Smith Jr., North Ogden; Mrs. J. Walter (Gwen) Child, Ogden; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; one sister, Sarah R. Morris, Ogden.

She as preceded in death by a daughter.

Services will be conducted Monday at 3 p.m. at the graveside in the Ogden City Cemetery with Mont J. Smith officiating.

A private family viewing will be held at the Myers Mortuary in Ogden Monday from 2 to 2:45 p.m.
