Norma Lee Denton Parris

DOWNEY – Norma Lee Denton Parris, 86, of Downey, Idaho, passed away Friday, August 7, 1998.
She was born on November 26, 1911, to Thomas G. Denton and Mary Jane Rigge in Hawkins Basin, Idaho, where she was reared and educated.
She married Archie F. Parris on September 8, 1928, in American Falls. He died July 1, 1982.
Norma was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, traveling and creating fine handwork. She also was a member of the LDS Church.
She is survived by her loving children, six sons and one daughter, Howard G. (Evelyn) Parris of Cotton-wood, Ariz., Joylene P. Hyde of Downey, Idaho, Archie E. (Faye) Parris and Kile L. Paris of Orofino, Idaho, William L. (Jan) Parris and Thomas Jerry (Arlene) Parris of Pocatello, Idaho, and Ronald D. Parris of Salt Lake City, Utah; 23 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Clara Nisson of Downey, Idaho; and one brother, Dean Denton of Pocatello, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Archie, son, Lyle K. Parris and daughter, Opal Kingston, and brothers, Ray, Roy and Leonard Denton.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 1998, at the Downey LDS Church, 525 E. First North, Downey, Idaho, at 1 p.m. Friends may call Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Marsh Center Cemetery. Arrangements are by Horsley’s Marsh Valley Funeral Home.
