Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Malad Second LDS Ward for Nora Shirlene Nielsen, 14, who died Friday evening of nephritis.
Bishop Myron P. Sorenson conducted the services. Gordon Crowther offered the prayer at the home and Dr. Thos. W. Richards and Neal Crowther, prayers at the chapel. Speakers were Bishop Sorensen who read the obituary, M. Joe Davis and S.A. Hendricks. Musical numbers were duets: Molly Hyer and Alma Reynolds; Diane Facer and Ilene Reynolds; solo, Louis Yearsley, Myra Jean John played the prelude and postlude.
Kenneth Bickmore dedicated the grave.
Members of the eighth grade class carried flowers under the direction of Mrs. Moyle Facer.
Casket bearers were Tony Sanfelice, Bernard Sanfelice, Rudy Sanfelice, Paul Sevy, Phil Oretega, Alfred Atkinson.
Burial was in the Hyrum Cemetery directed by the Benson Funeral Home.
Nora Shirlene Nielsen was born Oct. 29, 1944 at Salt Lake City, a daughter of John G. and Shirley C. Sanfelice Nielsen. She was reared and educated here and at Carmichael, California. She was a member of the LDS Church and an eighth grade student in the Malad Junior high school.
Surviving are her parents and a sister, Linda; grandparents, John C. Nielsen, Malad; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sanfelice, Carmichael, California.
