Nephi Lorin Price

Nephi Lorin Price, 93, lifetime Malad resident and area farmer, died Tuesday March 31, 1992, in the Oneida County Nursing Home. He was born July 3, 1898, in Malad, a son of Brigham Thain and Annie Lorraine Campbell Price.

He grew up and was educated in the Malad area and had attended the Malad Presbyterian School.

He married Ivy Ann Reed April 17, 1923 in Malad. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan L.D.S. Temple June 27, 1948. Mrs. Price died January 6, 1977.

He was a member of the L.D.S. Church, and has served in the Sunday School Superintendency in the Daniels Ward, and also as Superintendent and Sunday School Coordinator.

He had been a home teacher for 40 years in the Malad L.D.S. First Ward, and was also secretary in the Elders Quorum.

He is survived by several local neices and nephews: Farrell and Thelma Daniels, Rex and Gloria Daniels, Dale and Lorraine Blaisdell, Ken and Lela Blaisdell, Howard and Thelma Wakley, Dale and Fern Thomas, Carol and Deon Jones, all of Malad; two half-brothers, William Lyle Price and Garth Deverl Price, both of Arizona.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 4, 12:00 noon, at the Malad L.D.S. First Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Benson-Horsley Funeral Home in Malad Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Friday prior to services.
