Neal William Noble, 54, formerly of Malad, died Thursday at the L.D.S. Hospital in Salt Lake City following a stroke.
He was born December 1, 1920, in Malad, a son of Donald and Margaret Jones Noble. He was married to Helen Marie Lica on August 1, 1950 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Mr. Noble was an engineer for the Utah Department of Highways. A veteran of World War 11, serving in the army Air Corps, he had lived the past 18 years in SLC and prior to that in Malad and Ogden.
He was a member of the Grant LDS Seven Ward and the American Legion Ernest W. Jones Post No. 65 Malad.
Surviving are his widow, one son, and one daughter: William Mark and Linda Carol Noble, all of Salt Lake City; his father, SLC; one brother and three sisters: Don Noble, Jr., McCammon; Mrs. Glen (Margaret) Morgan, SLC; Mrs. Ivan (Isabel) Hunsaker, Wendell, Idaho; Mrs. Jack (Katherine) Walker, Overland Park, Kansas City.
Funeral was held Monday morning at the Larkins Mortuary Chapel in Salt Lake City.
Graveside services were held Monday afternoon at the St. John Cemetery with Harold Jones offering the dedicatory prayer and the American Legion Ernest W. Jones Post providing military honors.
