Ida Williams Nuttall, 93, Malad, died early Tuesday morning, July 22, in the Oneida County Hospital
She was born Oct. 5, 1886 in Caines, West Virginia, a daughter of George Washington and Mary Ann Wise Williams. As a young girl, the family moved to Logan, Utah where she grew up and was educated. She also attended Brigham Young Academy in Logan. She married Benjamin R. Nuttall, Feb. 6, 1907 in the Logan LDS Temple. He died August 2, 1925. They lived in Cache Valley for a short time later moving to Blackfoot, where they purchased a farm. After the death of her husband Mrs. Nuttall has lived in several places, including: Arimo, Boise and Blackfoot. She had been active in caring for the aged and handicapped, working in a Children’s Home in Boise, the State Hospital South in Blackfoot. After working in Red Bluff, Cedar City, and Salt Lake City with the aged in their homes, she moved to Prescott, Arizona and lived there for 15 years. She was living with her daughter Idonna Madson in Malad at the time of her death. Mrs. Nuttall was an active member of the LDS Church.
She is survived by 3 sons and 2 daughters: Noal and Roland, Boise, Idaho; Lloyd, Sedona, Arizona; Mrs. James (Idonna) Madson Malad; Mrs. Donald (Doris) Nelson, Bremerton, Washington; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. 1 sister, Mrs. Cosby Martin, Blackfoot, Idaho. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter and 10 brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday, July 25, at 12 noon in the Grove City Cemetery in Blackfoot. Friends may call at the Benson Horsley Funeral Home in Malad Thursday evening from 8-9 p.m. and Friday morning from 10:00 until 11:30 in the Packham Mortuary in Blackfoot.
