N. Audene Jones Yearsley, (1920)

YEARSLEY, N. AUDENE JONES – May 22, 1920 – November 25, 2003

N. Audene Jones Yearsley, age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 25, 2003 at her home in Orem, Utah. She was born May 22, 1920 in Malad, Idaho, a daughter of Warren M. and Merle Jones. She married her sweetheart, Dale Yearsley on January 14, 1940 in Farmington, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.

Audene graduated from Malad High School. She moved to San Francisco in 1941 and Provo in 1944. In 1952 the family settled in Orem. Audene had a beautiful smile, which she shared with everyone she met. She did gorgeous embroidery and crocheting and her family was the recipient of many of her works. Audene was an active member of the LDS Church and served as president of all the women’s organizations. She was a volunteer at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center for 34 years. Audene has a beautiful voice and sang in many choirs and trios and enjoyed sharing her talent.

She is survived by her husband Dale, and their children: Merle (Paul) Craig of Orem, Utah; Janet (Ron) Benson of Provo, Utah; grandchildren: Nate, Lance and Jared Craig; and Travis, marie and Brad Benson; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters and brother: Delene Bowcutt, Salt Lake City, Utah; Marge Favero, Ogden, Utah; and Farrell Jones, Hemet, California.
