Myrtle Roderick Died Monday

Miss Myrtle Roderick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William P. Roderick, died at the Oneida County Hospital Tuesday morning [October 8, 1942] following a long illness.

She was born in Pocatello, August 30, 1917. He parents moved to Pleasantview 18 years ago.

She has been active in church affairs, being ward and Sunday school organist and a teacher in the Mutual. She is a graduate of the Malad high school, Weber college and Normal college of USAC.

She has taught in Cleveland[,] Utah for the past two years, and at the time of her death was signed up to teach in Weber county.

Besides her parents she is survived by three sisters, Miss Isabella Roderick and Mrs. Velma Ipsen Pleasantview; and Mrs. Thora Hess of Ogden. The funeral services will be held in the Pleasantview ward Thursday at 2 o’clock.
