MORRIS JONES
Morris Henry Jones, 62, Cherry Creek, died Saturday, June 20 (1953), at the Oneida County Hospital of a heart ailment following an illness of 3 ½ months.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Malad 2nd LDS ward chapel by Bishop Aseal John of the Cherry Creek ward.
The prayer at the home was by Joseph A. Jones, the invocation by G. E. Harris and the benediction by Lawrence Wells. The speakers were Verl Moon, S. A. Hendricks and J. M. Isaacson. Vocal solos were sung by Margaret Jones, Howell Williams and Audrey Jones. The prelude and postlude music was played by Myra Jean John.
The dedicatory prayer at the cemetery was by J. Guy Benson.
Mr. Jones was born October 5, 1890 at Cherry Creek, a son of John M. and Gwenford Williams Jones. He was reared and educated in Cherry Creek and was a member of the LDS Cherry Creek ward. He was married to Winnie Williams October 5, 1911. Mrs. Jones died in May, 1926. Mr. Jones was active in farming and livestock raising until his illness forced retirement.
Surviving are three sons: Morris Jones, Bountiful, Utah, LaMar Jones, Malad; Jink Jones, Rigby; one daughter, Mrs. Keith (Delone) Bybee, Malad; 12 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Joel P. (Rachel) Lowe, Willard, Utah; Mrs. William O. (Mildred) Howard, Malad; Mrs. Parry L. (Mary) Jones, Malad; one brother, Verl D. Jones, Pocatello.
Internment was in the Samaria Cemetery under the direction of the Benson Funeral Home.

Malad, Idaho – Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Malad LDS Second Ward Chapel for Morris Henry Jones, 62, who died Saturday at the Oneida County Hospital.
Mr. Jones had been ill with a heart ailment for the past three and one-half months.
Bishop Aseal John of the Cherry Creek Ward will be in charge of the services. Friends may call at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Keith Bybee, 40, Bush Ave., Malad, tonight and tomorrow until time of services. Interment will be in the Samaria Cemetery, under direction of the Benson Funeral Home.
Mr. Jones was born Oct. 5, 1890, at Cherry Creek, Oneida County, the son of John M. and Gwenford Williams Jones.
A member of the LDS Church, he was reared and educated in Cherry Creek. He married Winnie Williams Oct. 5, 1911. She died in May, 1926. Until forced to retire because of illness, Mr. Jones was active as a farmer and stockman.
