MOI CHRISTINE FREEMAN

November 6, 1946 – October 23, 2022

Moi C. Freeman, 74, also known to many friends as Valorie Christine Hendricks, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, in Pocatello Idaho.

Moi was born on November 6, 1946, in South-End on Sea, Essex Burrow, England. Her birth name was Valorie Christine Stimpson. Her parents were Frederick Stimpson and Violet Emily Woolmet.

Moi continued to live in England where she worked with Social Service protecting abused children, married, divorced and had two sons: John Bacon and Lee J. Warr Hendricks.

Moi met her late husband Ernest Edward Hendricks while being “Pen Pals”. They married on July 21,1990 in Twin Falls. Ernest passed away on January 3, 2022.

When ask why she changed her name, Moi’s response was “because I could.” Moi received her Certificate of Naturalization on Sept. 17, 1999. Centered on the Certificate was her new name Moi Christine Freeman. She so appreciated being a United State Citizen. She and Ernie traveled throughout the states. Washington DC and Yellow Stone Park were just a couple places they frequent.

Miss Moi only stood 4 feet 9 inches on a good day. She was full of spirt, opinions, and strong will. She was determined to live her life her way.

After moving around for Ernie’s job with the Government their last move brought them to Malad City, Idaho. Moi’s nest was now empty. She enjoyed coupon clipping and bargain shopping in Pocatello. Many friends and neighbors were beneficiaries of her kindness and thrifty shopping. She was known to share many of her creative culinary meals

whether one was sick of not. She would explain, “I couldn’t let the cooker go to waste.”

Moi was proceeded in death by her parents, grand child and her late husband Earnest E. Hendricks Jr.

There will be no services held because Moi choose to be cremated. Moi and Ernest’s remains will be returned to her homeland of England.

Moi/Valorie, please know you will be missed but remembered well as we show love and kindness to our families and friends. Loving our Neighbors as ourselves.
